Find your way around
The left sidebar is your whole book. Click any chapter to go to it, and the numbered items under a chapter jump you to that exact section inside it. Each chapter shows its own status at a glance... teaching points, evidence items, whether its story is ready. Go to Full Outline takes you back to the book map any time, and the book switcher in the top bar moves you between your books without leaving the editor.
Read your book in the editor
When a chapter finishes writing, BookBuilder takes you straight into the editor with the draft in front of you. Read it. Because of the interview you gave, it opens on your story, in your voice. If anything reads off, the next 2 tools fix it.
Edit anything directly
The whole book is editable in place: click into the text and type. A Saving… then Saved indicator sits under the chapter title, so you always know your changes are in. Highlight any text and you get bold, italic, and underline too. Hand edits are instant and free... they never touch your word balance. The toolbar also carries find and replace, undo, and a font picker with 5 book fonts: Lora, Source Serif, Merriweather, EB Garamond, and Geist.
Highlight, then ask
For bigger changes, highlight the exact passage and hit Ask BookBuilder: add this to it, change the tone of it, tighten it. The rewrite comes back in seconds and stays inside what you highlighted, so the rest of the chapter stays exactly as you approved it. Asking BookBuilder to write again spends words from your balance.
Images where you want them Pro
Highlight a passage and hit Add image: Publishing Studio generates art from that exact moment in the book. Pick from 5 visual styles... Photorealistic, Illustrated, Editorial, Cinematic, or Graphic... and hit Generate image. It drops into the book in under half a minute, and from there you size it small, medium, or full width, align it left, center, or right, and wrap the text around it. You can upload your own images or add one from a URL too.
This Is Key callouts, citations in the prose
The This Is Key line from each chapter’s outline renders as a boxed callout right in the manuscript, and it prints in the finished PDF. Click the x on any callout you’d rather not keep. When a chapter leans on a study, the citation is written into the prose itself... the reader gets the source without tripping over superscripts.
Words and images, the 2 balances
The top bar carries your 2 balances. Writing and AI rewrites spend words... and that includes the intake chats, so make them count. Generated artwork spends images. Hand edits spend nothing. When you need more of either, top up right from the top bar.
