Pick the book’s feel

Four cards. Authority... clear, useful, confident. Story-based... narrative texture and lived experience. Revealing... transparent lessons learned, a “this is what happened to me” book. Or Blend, a mix of all the above, and it’s always a safe bet.

Lock the voice

Pick a feel and open the chat. The vibe agent proposes how your voice should sound in the book, then asks if the read feels right. Confirm it, or push it warmer, sharper, funnier, or more grounded... your call, it listens. And if you want the book to sound like you on the page, give it a sample: 500 words of your own writing is enough for it to chase your tone.

How the book teaches

Once the voice is locked, the agent asks right there in the chat how the book should teach. Protocol is the step-by-step playbook: perfect for “here’s how you do it, 1, 2, 3.” Tips is exactly what it sounds like. Narrative lets the story carry the lesson. Principle and story sets up an idea, shows it in action, then hands the reader the application. Pick one, or mix them and let each chapter teach the way its material wants to be taught.

The story interview

The stories agent interviews you the way a ghostwriter would. Tell it a story in broad strokes and it comes back for the scene: where were you, who was with you, what was the exact moment it hit you. Then it locks what you gave it into a story card... the scene, the stakes, the turning point, what it proves, where it belongs in the book, and the facts it must preserve. Give it the scene. That’s what turns a chapter into something readers can’t put down.

Let it press you

You’ll notice Next stays off while the agent is still digging, even when you think you’re done. Don’t rush it. Answer every follow-up as specifically as you can and your book comes out sounding human. You can also come back and add stories any time: the agent spots story material in everything you’ve shared and asks about it.
