Setup

From a blank screen to a book in motion

Setup asks you a handful of questions: how long the book should be, whether it sells something, and what material you’ve got. Answer in the chat, drop in your notes, and BookBuilder builds from there.

Two doors on the home screen

Write a book starts a new book: pick your lane and hit Start creating. Edit a book drops you back into any book you’ve got going... choose it from the list or hit Show all books. And if you wrote books in the classic BookBuilder, the Bring them over link copies them in, chapter for chapter, without touching your originals. There’s a dark mode and a light mode too... use whichever your eyes like.

Quick or Detailed: pick your lane

Quick is the faster path when your material’s ready: add your notes or outline, then build the book map. Detailed walks you through every step with Chat with BookBuilder available whenever you want help, and if you’re a Pro member it opens the Research step, where BookBuilder calls its own research agents and puts real meat on the bones of your book.

The agents doing the work

BookBuilder is a team of specially trained agents: a book agent, a sources agent, a vibe agent for tone and feel, a stories agent that collects your stories, a research agent for Pro members, an outline agent, and the writing agents behind them all. Every one of them is trained on the BookBuilder writing formula: how-to books that keep selling for you after the sale, through upsells, speaking engagements, podcasts, and everything that follows a book with your name on it.

Length, and what the book sells

First choice is length, and there are 4 sizes. Mini runs 5,000 to 12,000 words... perfect for lead magnets, free PDFs, and list-builders. Short is 12,000 to 25,000. Medium, 25,000 to 45,000, is the sweet spot for most nonfiction. Long runs 45,000 to 80,000 and up... your magnum opus. Then BookBuilder asks whether the book sells something. If it does, click yes: pull from one of your BNSN Blueprints or type your offer notes, and BookBuilder weaves it into the book’s story.

Chat before Next

On each step you’ll see Chat with BookBuilder, and you’ll notice Next isn’t always available. The agent asks questions specific to that section, the same questions a ghostwriter would ask you... the name on the book, the idea in a sentence or two... and Next unlocks once it has what it needs.

“I don’t know” is a perfectly good answer early on, before you’ve given it anything to work with. Answer what you can, as specifically as you can. Everything you give it comes back later as a better book.

Feed it your material

The Sources step is where the book gets its raw material. Paste anywhere from 30 to 30,000 words... notes, an outline, an article... or upload a file: .txt, .md, .csv, .rtf, .pdf, or .docx all work. A live counter tracks your source words as you paste. Then open the chat: the sources agent leads with its working read of your material... the framing it found, the facts it plans to protect. Confirm it or correct it before you move on. Nothing to add yet? There’s a skip ahead for that.

Use your own material. You can paste outside articles to round things out, but never plagiarize... this book carries your name.
